I spilt the ink across the page, trying to spell your name,
So I fold it up and I flick it out, paper aeroplane.
It won't fly the seven seas to you, cause it didn't leave my room,
Put it away to hand to someone else... the garbage man.
So she opens it up and reads it out to all her friends,
Amongst the crowd a heart breaks and another heart will mend.
She walks on home, tired from work, the letter falls from her hand,
She reaches out only to catch the sky, it's gone with the wind.
I spilt the ink across the page, trying to spell your name,
Up and down, there it goes, paper aeroplane.
It hasn't flown the seven seas to you, but it's on its way,
It goes through the hands and to someone else to find you boy.
adt. lyrics by Angus & Julia Stone
My friends and AM3 family, I am a little time poor at the moment and struggling to fit it all in, so I will not be posting for a few days but will look in on your pages when I get a chance. Thanks for all your beautiful comments and I'll see you soon! Kyles

Hi Kyles... Great image, nice to see mistakes becoming art.
18 Oct 2008 7:41am
@[email protected]: Ahhh Kev, your link to your name on my page isn't working my friend at it's showing Mr Morgan's email address LOL, wasn't sure if you knew. Thanks for your lovely comments and see ya Mundy!
A simple picture Kylie, on the contrary not so easy as shot, very succeeds as ambience.
18 Oct 2008 8:02am
aww, will miss you Ky!! this is a strangely romantic picture, even before i read the words... i like it VERY much... you have a nice camera, i think i will go read your about page to see what it is :)
18 Oct 2008 9:03am
@Elaine-: Thanks Sweetie, I won't be far away. The 40D is a beautiful camera, but in my humble opinion, it's the lens that lets you get creative. Most of my images lately have been with my 100mm f2.8 macro, I just love the creative effect and selective focus with the shallow DOF. What happened to the Pentax? Or are you looking at like camera #22 now? hahha. Have a great weekend!
Extremely simple. The lines give the snap the right touch. feels so nice.
18 Oct 2008 9:24am
Very neat photography, the lighting is spot on, and the DOF perfect.
18 Oct 2008 9:39am
Was the shot set up to match the words or vice versa? They complement each other perfectly.
18 Oct 2008 12:07pm
@Vinman: You are perceptive Vinman, I actually created the image after listening to this song through the week. It seemed to strike a chord and I wanted to replicate what was in my mind when listening to it. Thanks for you comments and for dropping by.
I agree, very romantic! And take your time, we all know it can be a precious commodity...
18 Oct 2008 12:38pm
This image is extraordinary. I love the composition and the quality is superb. You've chosen the perfect words to accompany it.
18 Oct 2008 1:20pm
@sherri: Thank you for your lovely words Sherri, very much appreciated :o)
what a romantic thought. The pen, paper, ink and underlying message. People don't write love letters anymore these days ;-) curious to know what's in it :-)
18 Oct 2008 1:49pm
@[suvni:R]: ...can't remember what's in it... it's on it's way ;o)
Kylie...you are amazing. I adore this, you're appealing to all my passions, well you know, not YOU personally lol but your photos, man you're good!
18 Oct 2008 3:33pm
@Lorraine: thanks sweetie, I am glad the passion is not quite directed at me, not that I don't love ya and all :o)... thanks for your kind words.

Beautiful work . . carries the emotion of those lyrics so well.
20 Oct 2008 8:43am
Makes me think to a wonderful song of Céine Dion ( words from Jean Jacques Goldman...) : "Des milliers de baisers". This is an extract (its in french, hope you can translate...) :

Hey Kylie...I know what you mean with "time poor" as I am suffering the same as well. I love this photo so much. The graphics on the paper aeroplane, the handwriting...it's all so personal, and intimate in the way of a message. The depth of field is just wonderful here, as it adds to the intrigue. Take good care... :)
20 Oct 2008 12:19pm

Who would have thought that you could have used these simple objects to make such a fascinating composition. You are very creative --and not only that, you have the technical ability to bring everything together, perfectly! A wonderfully image, then, and the lyrics go with it so well.
Good luck with doing everything you have to do. We'll see you when you can make it.
