...waiting

Posted by
Kylie Greenan (Hunters Hill, Australia) on 26 July 2008 in Food & Cuisine and Portfolio.

To me there is something sad about this image, I am not sure what... a single line of glasses waiting for the party to happen, no one turned up perhaps? As the fearce wind blew terriblly cold outside, I took shelter in this small tucked away restaurant, and as I stared at the light that seemed to play with the glasses at this empty table, I just got the feeling of "waiting". The words of this song came to mind today for this post.

The winter here is cold and bitter
It's chilled us to the bone
I haven't seen the sun for weeks...
too long too far from home.

I feel just like I'm sinking... and I claw for solid ground.
I'm pulled down by the undertoe
I never thought I could feel so low
In all the darkness I feel like letting go.

If all of the strength and all of the courage come and lift me from this place.
I know I can love you much better than this.
Full of Grace.... full of grace... my love.

Its better this way, I 'd say, having seen this place before... where everything we say and do hurts us all the more.
Its just that we stay too long, in the same old sickly skin.
Pulled down by the undertow, I never thought I could feel so low, in all the darkness I feel like letting go.

If all of the strength and all of the courage come and lift me from this place, I know I can love you much better than this.
Full of grace, my love.
It's better this way.
