..prayers for Bella

My dear AM3 community, I humbly ask that today you might send up a prayer for my Bella, my 11 year old Blue Mitted Ragdoll. She has been fighting hard against the horrible effects of Crohn's disease the last couple of years, but this week she has taken a turn for the worse. The condition has now taken a toll on her heart, thickening of the walls and the heart is now beating overtime to try circulate the blood through her tiny thin body... still she seems to find the fight to live. She is on heart medication this week to see if it will help her, today she is not well, she is not eating and it breaks my heart. If you would be kind enough to send up a prayer for her that she will respond to the meds in the next week.

On another note, helping the animals, there have been many reports here of animals emerging from the fires, burnt and singed, there has been so much support for the people of the Victorian fires, but if you can spare a dollar or two, the Victorian Animal Rescue people need our help, they have lost two shelters in the fires and have a lot of animals to now take care of and heal. Consider it sent Kylie. It is hard to watch animals or people fight for their lives, and one can never be sure of the outcome.Bella looks gorgeous, with those big baby blues!!!

@Bill: Thank you Bill. They are such a huge part of our lives our beloved animals, they leave such a big hole when they go. It is so hard to watch them struggle when they are sick and even harder to know when is that time when, through love, you end their struggle. I find it hard to face this, I fear that time may be soon. I pray your Trouble looks down from heaven on a humble feline and sends some healing powers. Thanks again my friend. As a life long cat lover, currently with two rumbunctious feline brothers, I understand your pain and suffering completely. The hardest part is letting go, but the memories are priceless and the knowledge that our anumals were loved and cared for to the best of our ability.

@EYES WIDE SHUT: Thank you!!!! It is the hardest part, and tonight I think she is telling me it is time to let go, by far the hardest thing to do. You are right that we have loved and cared for them as much as we can, I have told her tonight that it is ok to go to the rainbow bridge, that I love her and we have had beautiful times together and if she is no better in a few days that I will end her suffering. @Viewfinder: Glenn, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I know your grief is raw and we are feeling the same heartache, your words have touched me deeply and I am so grateful for your prayers. I know in my heart what I must do, she has given up the fight I feel, I pray for strength to let her go, if that is God's will. My heart is breaking seeing her life slowly slip away and know that if in a couple of days there is no change, it is time to end her suffering. She has put up a brave fight and I have told her so tonight, and that I love her... how much they touch our hearts. Thank you for your beautiful words my friend!

I'm a cat lover and though I don't own any cats at home, I always adore them. Even the street cats are the most beautiful cats in my eyes. So it really breaks my heart when I see one of these lovely creatures in pain.

Thank you my dear friends and AM3 family for all your kind words and beautiful prayers. Last night I told Bella it was ok to go as she lay quiet having not eaten for 2 days and I prepared myself for the worst. At about 1am she was making some very strange noises and I felt that her time was running out. I held her and sang mantras to her, all I could think to do.

Today, I woke to find she was already up, outside watching the birds on a cool morning, Molly was with her and she looks the best she has looked in days. Today she has even eaten a little. Thank you for your prayers, I think God may have been listening and today again she amazes me as she shows me, she still has fight in her yet.

Thank you all for your support on this difficult journey, you have all touched me deeply with your kindness and words., prayers, emails, candles lit etc. I will keep you posted of her progress. Your continued prayers for her are very much appreciated.
