This is a clock my best friend bought me for my birthday and I love it.
This image reminds me of how time ticks on in all our lives, somewhere in the world, some fall in love and some fall apart. In my mind there are two people travelling a long distance, not having seen each other for quite some time, the newness of their love still exciting... the anticipation and counting down the seconds as they look at the clock in the middle of the train station, wondering at what time they will finally meet and embrace again.
Thanks for your time stopping by my page and viewing my images, your thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated. Have a great day!

@Steve Rice: Thanks so much Steve, very much appreciated!
yes -- this composition is awesome, love the angle of the shot and your framing! love the beautiful light grain of the wood that is also visible here... is this an antique clock? or made to look antique? marvelously done! and i loved your 'interpretation of time' as love... as i read your piece, i was interpreting the 2 hands of the clock as the lovers your described... each of them counting the intervening ticks of the minutes and seconds til they met again, overlapped -- joyous and brief, only to be pulled apart by destiny as they passed on again -- separated for yet another delirious hour in the on going time continuum. just beautiful! :)

@dj.tigersprout: DJ, can you write the narrative for my blog every day? :o) Thank you so much for your exquisite comments and interpretation, it is a very large face, it is old wood grain but I have aged it even more in this image, it's not antique tho and if you look at it closely it actually has three hands, one is a counter weight for the big hand, but it totally confuses the cr*p out everyone which is partly why I love it so much :o) Thank you again, looking forward to a quiet ten minutes to absorb your blog today and leave a comment :o) Thanks again DJ!
It looks real nice...so dis you give it a nice place ? Great composition.

@Linerberry: Thank Liners, easy on the old my friend :o) A romantic... ah yes, aren't most photographers? Check out your site in a bit :o)
beautiful macro--i especially enjoy how you captured the grain quite nicely. the angles within the shot work quite well, i reckon; putting your lens right against the surface really invites the viewers into your shot as well. wonderfully done!

This is a fantastic composition, Kylie. The detail of the wood grain and the b&w processing are superb here. This would make a great fade-in for a movie scene!

Great Composition and great description Kylie. Infact your writeup is so true and it echoes my feeling right now as I wait to see my husband next month (after 5 months) doing a countdown right now in days waiting for days to become hours .. minutes and then seconds.... Lovely!

J'ai des problèmes pour me connecter sur ton blog, je ne sais pas pourquoi. Aujourd'hui j'ai trouvé un moyen en passant par la page principale "Aminus3 recent photos". J'aime bien cette image et surtout son angle de vue original.
