Kylie ! It is a festival, for some circumstance, and how long it lasts, street ambience, I like..

The crowded street and the crowded push of background building seem to echo one another. it is the kind of place that would make my head spin after a short while and I would head to a quiet restaurant to enjoy a cup of coffee.

@Michael Skorulski: I agree with you Michael, we sampled a few and myself and the family sat in the Lowenbrau pub all afternoon (hence my previous shots of the beer mugs)... it was much more civilized and relaxing. Thanks for your comments!

Love the way you've captured the bustling streets. When is this festival? I may venture over next year as it looks like great fun.

@tyan: Sorry Tyan, I should have put more of a description, once a year we have the Aroma Festival and it is all about the wonderful smells like Coffee and Chocolate, and Chai and spices, there are stalls set up and down the streets of the Rocks for two days, and thousands of people pack there to taste and smell the wonderful food/beverages and aromas. Great day but very crowded! Thanks for your comments and stopping by.
good light and atmosphere - though a bit more crowded than i would enjoy! what does the 'hat-like' symbol under the walking legs mean?
22 Jul 2008 11:27am
@djedfre: Thanks for your comments DJ! The sign is ....legs.. the hat like thing is a "hump" and it is a raised area in the roadwhere people can cross and traffic will stop for them :o). Thanks for visiting!
A fantastic image, Kylie... and one that i wish I'd taken, myself! I had intended to go down to The Rocks again that day for the festival, but couldn't make it. You've captured the excitement and the feeling of being in the crowd, so well. I like how you've got that little bit of our bridge in the corner, too!

@Andrew Gould: A shame you didn't make it Andrew, but I will look out for you next year... I thank you for your comments on capturing the day... I am not sure it gives credit to the thousands of people that were there... it really was a great day, the armoas were awesome.. maybe next you will get to experience it. Thanks again for stopping by.
