Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaYou've captured well the age and gritty textures of this fatigued fence! 14 Jul 2008 5:20am @Michael Skorulski: I really appreciate your great comments Michael, thank you :o) @Tse Min: Yes it is, 100mm. Thanks for stopping by. Japanalia from Yokohama, JapanMost sharp eyes, you know where to look and what to do with the findings! This is most attractive as composition with all details and texture! 14 Jul 2008 8:27am @Japanalia: Thank you so much for your lovely and kind compliments Japanalia, I am very touched, you have a beautiful name! Thank you again for stopping by. Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomLight, color, texture, decay . . . this one packs a punch ! 14 Jul 2008 2:01pm @Ronnie 2¢: Thank you Ronnie, I appreciate your comments! Michael Rawluk from Prince George, CanadaThis is my kind of shot. I love old wood and rusty metal. 14 Jul 2008 3:25pm @Michael Rawluk: Thank you Michael, I like the rustic feel of this also, I wasn't sure on the composition of this one as I had another in portrait, but it didn't catch the light so well, thank you for your comments on this. Stephen Phillips from San Francisco, United StatesLovely light and textures - I applaud your choice of the square format for this composition. Nice. 14 Jul 2008 4:45pm @Stephen Phillips: Stephen, thank you so much, I appreciate your comments on the composition etc. yiannis krikis from thessaloniki, GreeceI like the lighting, the textures and the colors 14 Jul 2008 5:56pm @yiannis krikis: Many thanks Yiannis! Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomThe light and texture is nice, that fence has seen better days I think, but its a gem for photography in its present state. 14 Jul 2008 9:38pm @Richard_Irwin: You are so right Richard, the funny thing was I had people in to replace all the "tired" fence posts only the week prior, they must have left this for me to capture, thank you for your comments here. @Baz: Thank you Baz! Nell Laime from Manly, AustraliaA very weathered fence, like many of us with age....is that a spider web? 14 Jul 2008 11:49pm @Nell Laime: Thank you for stopping by my dear dear friend! Yes it is a spider web, and in the left corner of the fence a very decayed leaf, thank you for your comments Nellie! Mwwahhh! @Linerberry: Thank you for your lovely comments Linerberry, much appreciated! Teresa from Mountain View, United StatesGreat eye! I love the light coming from behind or maybe more precisely coming from the right? And the way it hits the strands of web and I like that area down there by the nail in the lower left. I was wondering where the light is coming from since your ISO is 800 it must have been dark? 15 Jul 2008 3:09am @Teresa: Thank you Teresa, you are right, it was late afternoon and I was shooting in the shadows of big trees, the very low afternoon sun was just peeping through the fence before sunset, it was the light that drew me in and the colours it threw back from behind the fence, I wanted moderate DOF behind the fence to enhance to colours so hence the high ISO with the limited light, the strands of web I didn't see till I loaded the image on the laptop, a nice bonus! thank you for your lovely comments here! dj.tigersprout from San Bruno, United Stateswonderful close up and detail here! marvelous! 15 Jul 2008 5:37am @dj.tigersprout: Many thanks DJ! Kyle from Manhattan, United StatesWonderful, another lover of the macro! Nice backlighting on this shot. I love how you've taken the ordinary and made it beautiful - that's photography, right? :) 15 Jul 2008 12:30pm @Kyle: I'm a believer that if you have the right light, you can turn anything into an interesting shot... may not always work but I have fun trying. Thank you for your kind words Kyle! Ron from Saint Louis, United StatesGreat shot ... I love your focus on the details. 16 Jul 2008 5:01pm Andrew Gould from Sydney, AustraliaWhat a neat composition you've come up with here! The balance is perfect. Credit to you for seeing this and executing it so well. 9 Dec 2008 9:17am |
